The flagship engagement

Terradigm Blueprint

You bring the challenge, the opportunity, or the complex question. Terradigm brings 3.8 billion years of nature's intelligence. Together, we design your next move.

Our full, flagship engagement. This includes the scoping interview, expansive biological and ecological research, pattern and design principle analysis, and expert translation into a prioritized set of application concepts and implementation steps to get there. This is the ideal engagement for leaders, teams, or networks tackling complex and ambitious work together, seeking expert-level research, synthesis, interpretation, and coaching towards execution. The Terradigm Blueprint is a professional strategy brief that can be used and shared with stakeholders at any step along the process.

How you get there

Three phases, from your challenge to your roadmap.

PHASE 1
One day to two weeks

Scoping your challenge

Scoping clarifies what you are actually trying to change, the conditions shaping the problem, the constraints that matter, the people and relationships involved, and what a better outcome would need to accomplish. That precision is what allows the research and strategies that follow to be tailored to your actual conditions rather than generic in their applications. That is why scoping happens in three deliberate steps, and why this is the phase where your participation matters most.

01

Prep Coaching call

A live call with a Terradigm consultant to answer your questions, help you define or sharpen your challenge or opportunity if needed, and make sure you are set up to get the most from the scoping interview. Nothing is required beforehand. Just show up with whatever you already know.

TERRADIGM TEAM · HUMAN

A Terradigm coach listens to your ideas and questions, provides information to help you prepare for the interview, and supports you along the way.

YOU

You bring your challenge, your context, and your questions.

02

Scoping interview

A structured interview led by a highly trained Terradigm AI agent that asks the kinds of questions needed to understand your challenge well enough to research relevant strategies and solutions. Think of it like the discovery interview a human consultant would conduct before beginning an engagement.

The interview typically takes 45–90 minutes. The more specific context you can share about your challenge, goals, operating conditions, constraints, stakeholders, and what has already been tried, the more precisely Terradigm can research what may work. If some information is unclear, incomplete, or simply not available yet, that is useful to know too, and Terradigm will account for it.

Set aside enough time to give the interview your full attention rather than multitasking. You do not have to complete it in one sitting and can return to it as needed. When you are finished, Terradigm produces a detailed scoping summary for your review before any research begins.

YOU

You answer, in your own words, at your own pace.

TERRADIGM · AI

The platform runs the interview and drafts your summary.

03

Review and sign-off

You review the summary and any revisions you make are folded in. You have the option to invite up to five stakeholders to comment on the interview, which adds more nuance and generally provides a more accurate picture of the situation.

YOU & STAKEHOLDERS

You correct, add, and approve. Nothing proceeds until you sign off.

TERRADIGM · AI

Incorporates the revisions you approve into a complete scoping brief that becomes the foundation for the research.

PHASE 2
A few hours to one day

Research and translation by Terradigm

Human design challenges usually involve several functional needs at once. Based on your approved scoping interview, Terradigm identifies 200+ examples of biological and ecological strategies and mechanisms that have already mastered each of the functional demands you are facing. These produce patterns that ultimately become the Design Principles tailored to your exact context. Each Design Principle is translated into an application idea and includes the traceable biological research the Design Principle came from.

YOU

You can relax and focus on other priorities.

TERRADIGM · AI

Behind the scenes Terradigm does the research, synthesis, and translation at a scale and speed no human team could match.

PHASE 3
Live call at delivery

Your Terradigm Blueprint accompanied by a coaching call

Your Terradigm Blueprint arrives as a prioritized, rigorous roadmap for evolving your system, along with a coaching call to walk you through the document, answer your questions, and discuss how you might begin implementing the strategies.

TERRADIGM · AI

Produces the Terradigm Blueprint document that you can use to engage stakeholders, build alignment, and generate resources for your work.

TERRADIGM TEAM · HUMAN

A Terradigm coach walks you through your Terradigm Blueprint to answer your questions and helps you explore how you might apply or experiment with the ideas in the report.

Want more support after delivery? Additional coaching sessions are available to help you take the roadmap into implementation with your team.

The deliverable

Your Terradigm Blueprint includes:

TERRADIGM BLUEPRINT · CONTENTS
EXPORTABLE DOCUMENT
01

Executive Summary

A high-level overview of your key insights and strategies, available as its own standalone, downloadable document for sharing with stakeholders who need the headline, not the full report.

02

Your Challenge, in Full

Your challenge or opportunity, vision, operating context, constraints and boundaries, and the stakeholders and relationships shaping what's possible, all laid out in depth so the research that follows stays grounded in your actual reality.

03

Functional Needs

Your challenge translated into the specific functions your solution needs to serve, the foundation everything else is built from.

04

Design Principles

For each function, the lessons from nature are distilled into three priority strategies: your Highest-Fit Move, the strategy most precisely matched to your challenge; your Highest-Leverage Move, the strategy positioned to create the greatest ripple effect, and your Entry-Point Move, the most accessible place to start. A biological champion shows how each Design Principle works in the living world.

05

Application Ideas

Concrete ways each Design Principle could show up in your specific context, offered to spark ideas and accelerate experimentation. These aren't prescriptions. They're starting points, meant to be adapted to your reality.

06

Implementation Steps

A clear sequence of actions for putting your prioritized Application Ideas into practice, so you can move from insight to execution without guessing at the next step.

07

Evaluation

A set of universal standards, Life's Principles, that let you check the long-term viability of your design over time, both as a goal to build toward and a lens for assessing how resilient and life-conducive your work is becoming.

08

Full Appendices

The complete biological and ecological research behind your Terradigm Blueprint, including primary literature and citations, plus an interactive visualization tracing the full lineage from your functions through your Design Principles and Application Ideas.

This all comes together in an exportable Terradigm Blueprint document, a professional tool designed to align partners, engage stakeholders, and secure the resources you need for your next move.
