Design of a Workshop on State Policies on Legal Security of Property Rights in Peru

Terradigm/CPS was contracted to organize and deliver a workshop to be focused on the discussion of the general policy guidelines with the purpose of creating a basic consensus with respect to the critical issues as defined by the participants. These issues included, but were not limited to the following:
1. The goals of a national policy for the preservation of the legal security of property rights in Peru, including the formalization and registration of rights, the creation of policies to protect property rights in an effective manner including the creation of alternatives to squatting.
2. The medium and long term plans of the participants with respect of the policies to preserve legal security of property rights.
3. The options for inter-institutional cooperation to allow more efficient investments.
4. The options for the compilation of a cadastre in registered areas that lack of geo-referenced maps; as well as in areas that are not registered yet.
