Centre for Land-related, Regional and Development Law and Policy (CLRDP), University of Pretoria

The SADC Centre for Land-related, Regional and Development Law and Policy (CLRDP) was established in 2001 against the background of the growing need to advance and better coordinate sustainable, integrated and delivery focused development policies within individual Southern African countries as well as within the SADC region as a whole.

As part of its mission, the CLRDP aims to contribute to the successful and enduring development of the Southern African region by promoting and enhancing multidisciplinary research in number of key policy issue areas. These include land reform, the sustainable use of natural resources, comprehensive strategies for poverty reduction, food security, community based rural development, governance and regionalism.
